When Is The Right Time To Scarify Your Lawn?

The best time to perform lawn scarification is when the grass is healthy and strong enough to recover from the process. Generally, your lawn grass has two main periods of growth: spring and autumn. As such, we provide our scarification services only between March and October, and for good reason.

The weather is usually too cold in January and February, making the soil remain frozen and the grass frosted. If any scarification attempt is done during these two months, your lawn and vegetation could become damaged. On the other hand, the cold returns in November, meaning that your soil will become cold or excessively wet. In December, your lawn goes into hibernation, and technically no mechanical work can be done since the grass will be covered in snow.
